Artist, curator and researcher.
My work explores the relationship between space, control and death; how as a species and as individuals we try to bring back balance to loss by conceiving ordered structures as resistance against chance. We plant ourselves in front of nature as vulnerable beings and establish various dynamics of regulation of the wild, from the garden to the construction of cities. In our domestic spaces we go about leaving indications of what we are with the hope of remaining beyond our own absence. I create images and objects that show the borderline state between existence and disappearance that is the awareness of the inevitable. Like a mourning that is experienced from acceptance, finding beauty and hope in the wear and tear of everything valuable.
