About the Aloe Candlestick series
In this series, drawings and photographs of the Arborescens Aloe plant are interwoven
or Aloe canelobre, better known as Aloe Candelabro.
In Playas de Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, on the corner of Paseo Pedregal
and Parque Azteca Norte, there is a specimen of this plant that has
served as inspiration, to document through photographs and drawings his
shapes and shades.
The importance of this piece lies in recording the existence of spaces
everyday life that goes unnoticed, that has become part of the landscape but
that forms a thread of what is the fabric of the Universe.
Visual artist from Mexico City, with a Bachelor's degree and
Master's Degree in Visual Arts at FAD, UNAM.
She has produced and exhibited different artistic series such as:
"Golden Compositions", "The Golden Number", "Drawing, Dance and Movement" and
“Aerial geometries”, ?Philaments ?, ?Organic tissues ?.
She stands out for her interest in the investigation and experimentation of techniques
diverse pictorial such as tempera, encaustic, resin, among others.
In her work she has worked on themes such as geometry, the number of gold as well
like overlapping and interweaving in painting and drawing.
She directs the Arte Hecho en México program to register and promote art
emerging from various disciplines.
